Dr. Vijay K.
Bhargava
My research interests are
in the area of Digital Communications, Error Correcting Codes, and
Systems and Technologies beyond IMT 2000. Currently he is a professor
and Head of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at
the University
of British Columbia.

Dr. Lutz Lampe
My research interests are
in communication and information theory and signal processing for
communication networks. This includes physical layer mechanisms of
communications such as multicarrier transmission, space time signaling,
and cooperative transmission, basic tools such as compressed sensing
and rateless coding, and applications such as ultra-wideband systems,
localization, sensor networks, power line communication systems, etc.

Dr. Cyril Leung
My research interests are
in the area of efficient, reliable and secure transmission of information
in mobile radio communication systems. At the physical layer level, we
are interested in the design and performance evaluation of efficient
techniques for communication over the mobile radio fading channel. At
the data link layer level, methods for efficiently sharing a common
channel among a number of mobile users for multiple-access as well as
broadcast situations are being studied.

Dr. Victor Leung
My research interests are
in the area of telecommunications and computer communications
networking. The scope of the research includes design, evaluation, and
analysis of network architectures, protocols, and network management,
control, and internetworking strategies for reliable, efficient, and
cost effective communications. The thrust of the research is to
contribute to the development of this emerging global network, with a
current focus on wireless and broadband networks and their
interconnections.

|
Dr. David Michelson
My
research interests focus on both measurement-based and analytical modeling
of the radiowave propagation environment, assessment of the
implications for the design of antennas and wireless communication
systems, and development of computer-aided instrumentation, data mining
and scientific visualization techniques in support of the above. My
current projects focus on Earth-space links, fixed links in macrocell
environments and short-range links in industrial, underground mine and
health care environments.

Dr.
Robert Schober
My research and teaching
interests are in the broad area of wireless communications. My current
research topics include space-time processing, space-time coding,
multi-user detection, non-coherent receivers, equalization,
interference suppression, coded modulation, iterative processing, and
adaptive algorithms.

Dr. Vincent Wong
My research interests are
in the area of the design and performance evaluation of wireless
networks. My current research topics include routing, medium access
control, congestion control, network monitoring, QoS provisioning,
resource allocation, and mobility management.
